After taking your great travel writing class in the S.F. Ferry Building I was inspired to capture my travel adventures on paper, albeit sometimes on "cyber-paper." I, too, had a transforming experience in Baja Sur, but over the hill, in the Sea of Cortez. While this story (http://sanddollaradventures.wordpress.com/2008/03/24/simon-says-you-can-call-me-ray/) is about rays, we also had an unforgettable mom-calf whale encounter. And then there was the mid-night, moonless-sky, sighting of dolphins illuminating solely by bioluminescence cruising just under the surface, along side of our sailboat.
Hopefully I will someday make your Corte Madera conference.
